PC World denies Linux warranty void – ZDNet UK

Yep, reinstalling that crap Window$ bloatware will sure-nuff be required to fix that broken hinge mount. IDIOTS!

I don’t know…considering the level of tech-support I encounter in the Windoze-based world, I really don’t know if the techies working for PC World COULD figure out if the hinge works after they fix it. I mean, if they can’t login and play some virii-inducing online game for 4 hours in the back room after they replace the hinges, how will they know that it works?

Great corporate outlook here–“Hey! Dumbass, err, I mean, Valued customer! Since this is clearly a hardware, and not a software issue, just erase everything on your hard drive, and put it back like it was before you made it into what you wanted, and then give it to us to fix! Then, when you get it back, do it all over again! Oh, you thought we cared?” I actually wish that they had a store around here, so I could go in and tell them just how much I never wanted to walk in the place again. Not that we don’t have several that fit that category already…

Dude ought to make a live-windows CD, and carry that with him and tell them to boot from it during the repair, but don’t EVEN touch the contents of the HD…of course, they would then sic Redmond on him for having the temerity to modify their software.
