Living with Less: First, Hide the Bed (TreeHugger)
I like the bed under the floor, as well as the other storage and swing out areas. Interesting concepts.
Brass Goggles » Blog Archive » Herr Dokter’s Gramophone Styled Speakers
This is an interesting little project. I like the brass car horn used as the outlet for the rear speaker. Go to the forum for more pictures and info.

This is an interesting bike cart/carrier. And with a bit of conduit, a conduit bender, an old bicycle, 2 front wheels, and an arc welder I think something like this could be built in less than a day. Gonna have to spend some time collecting the bits together to make one. I could use this for moving just about everything under 250 pounds or so that I now have to use a truck for here on the farm and at no cost other than developing my leg muscles. Looks like time to get off my ass and at it…
The Bicycle Forest :: Homebuilders’ Gallery :: Page 13
The picture below is the third from the top at the link above. Wish there was more information on a lot of the pieces on this site. Interesting design the dude came up with. I’d still go with a larger rear wheel. And am planning on building a cart/carrier type bike but after seeing a couple of other designs I am gonna look at building the whole front carrier section out of conduit and a pair of front wheels. Got the bender and raw material so all I need is time energy.
Technology news » Learn python in 10 minutes.
Well first off you got to know how to program and have a bit of experience with other languages and second there isn’t any way you are gonna learn any language in 10 minutes. But this article will get you started with python and does a good job of getting the basics presented. Gonna have to spend some time rereading it. Probably a lot more than 10 minutes. 😉
Apple: iBrate App Turns iPhone Into Vibrator – Gizmodo
Introducing the new iPhone KILLER app! And that’s all I’ve got to say about that…
Art: ‘Matrix Googles’ Probably Sounded Like a Good Idea at the Time – Gizmodo
Interesting video of the product. A serious acid trip without the drain bamage. Unsure what actual use there could be for this product however. Now with a bluetooth interface and computer interlace capability, you could do an enormous amount. Cool, but I still gotta wonder why…
Located this site via a post at Treehugger.com. They have a lot of info on scythes, from how to use them to how to make your own handles. Guess I’ll pull that blade I had for sale at the yard sale tent, clean it up a bit and make a handle and some mounting hardware for it and start using it. Neat site!
IT Crowd Season 2, Episode 2 — keyboard-destroying nerd sitcom – Boing Boing
Episode 2 is out and funnier than ever! 173.9 mb download and worth every byte!
US court rules that free speech trumps copyright (sometimes) – Boing Boing
Good news! Still got more battles to win before the war is won but at least some of the judges are listening.
Physicists establish ‘spooky’ quantum communication
Ok. I’ve read it a couple of times now and I understand what they are saying. I think. But I don’t understand how what they say is happening can happen. But then again I guess that’s why I am here pounding on this keyboard instead of there doing science. Or something. I’m confused, therefore I think. Or something else…
ARCANE TIMES ~ The Art of Cheyenne Wright
Life Imitates Art! Cheyenne Wright and Wil Wheaton reenact one of Cheyenne’s comic strips. Cool stuff!
Went out and got a pile of plywood scraps this past Saturday with Steve’s help (Thanks Steve!). Then started feeling crappy again that night and have been back in the house and mostly under the covers since. I’d been feeling pretty bad for most of the week that Cat had been gone, then when she came back from Texas she had a bug which I got to sample. Not fun. Starting to come back to life a bit I think. At least am able to think a bit again and not wanting to sleep all the time which is a major ++. Not gonna push it, though there are piles of things that need doing around here. Figure if I am still feeling fairly good tomorrow, will try to get to working on stuff at the yard sale site again.
Got a few interesting things in tabs which I’ll try to post today/tonight as I feel up to it.
