Global Nerdy | Creative Labs: Where No Good Deed Goes Unpunished

A MicroShaft Vista downgrade that I had read about before as well as a real good reason to NOT buy any Creative Labs products. 👿

  1. Steve says:

Saw this yesterday on Slashdot, I believe. Whether or not he was breaking the EULA, copyright, law, or whatever, I think that when a company fails to deliver on ADVERTISED functionality, than they lose ALL rights to persecute, bitch at, or otherwise interfere with anyone that RESTORES that functionality. God knows Creative has never been at the top of MY list (God in heaven–why does it take a dozen or so drivers for ONE FREAKING SOUND CARD?

They just love watching their customers lose hours/days/weeks trying to get something to work? “Hmm, let’s try THIS one, it says Windblows 98 SE only, but it MIGHT work on 2000…”) Well, I usually find motherboard sound good enough, but if I HAVE to buy a card, it sure as hell won’t be a Creative card in the future.

Love the “Eighth Circle of Hell” remark. So true….
