The Sietch Blog » Reduce Reuse Recycle (In That Order For A Reason)
Not a bad article. Makes lots of sense. The video is great! They make two different chairs out of cardboard. Worth a look if you’re into recycling at all. And if you’re not then you should be…
Shepherds Hut , Living Van , Summerhouse , Caravan – Ashwood Timber
Shepherds hut and log mobile homes. Interesting company and some good looking products.
The Brickley Engine Configuration, 15-20% Increase in Fuel Efficency, 15-20% Decrease in CO2 Emissions.
Interesting demo. I think I have seen this info somewhere before. Maybe on the compressed air car site? Not sure but the action demo is one I have seen. Would like to see a working model. Neat stuff!

Love Randy’s slightly dark humor. 😆 He has such a way with words. 😉
Where has the week gone? In a daze due to mild fever and illness I suspect. Have felt much better and some of the time do. Whatever it is is really weird. Sometimes perfectly fine, others feel like I got lungs full of crap and a sore throat, still others when the joints ache like the flu, and there is the disorientation and dizziness now and again. All in all not near as boring as some bugs, just wish it would get out of my system and life.
Almost got the e-commerce site where it can go live. Tim is putting product in like a mad man. Never seen anyone put in as much as fast before. Still got to get the info pages worded and in place, and add a few more bits of trim here and there but it’s close and should go live within a week. Will post a link here when it does.
Next got to get the book and junk site up and going. Was going with Drupal and Ubercart but after working with Zen Cart again I am leaning toward it instead. It’s come a long way since the last time I worked with it. Looks to be growing up rather well.
Bought a year of Skype Pro just now. Cat had called her mother and noted that our balance was going down as she talked. I checked and our previous year or whatever was up so $36.00 later we got another year of outgoing calls and a answering machine for those on Skype that call us if we aren’t around. Tried to get a local # on Skype In but the only thing they have is in Huntsville and Hartselle and both of those are long distance for land lines from here.
Time to check the fire and call it a night. Got a bunch of stuff in the tabs that I need to get posted before Firefox crashes or I make an error in clicking and close the wrong window again and loose them all. 😥 So anyway will try to get that tomorrow or sometime soon. Game this Saturday so will be busy the next 3 days but will make an effort to post at least once a day. 😉
Till then… 😎
Startup Says It Can Make Ethanol for $1 a Gallon, and Without Corn
I hope they can do it. But the picture on the page just SCREAMS the GhostBusters Theme to me for some reason!

Andy Ihnatko’s Celestial Waste of Bandwidth (BETA) » Alcatraz photoset is now on Flickr
Bunch of cool photos and Andy’s always amusing commentary make this photoset well worth the visit. Good Stuff! 😎
Sip a Potent Antiviral Tea : Planet Green
Mainly a note to myself. Gonna have to give it a try.
FreeNAS: The Free NAS Server
The above link takes you to the WIKI where all the docs and user guides and such are located. Don’t know why I have had such a hard time finding it / figuring out where the info is other than most distros have a link that says Documentation… 🙄
HTML Accent Entity Codes
Because I keep forgetting what and where they are when I look for them. 🙄
Guess I have and have had a bug for the last few days. Last night the inside temp here was high 50’s low 60’s and I spent most of the night out from under the covers so at least something wasn’t regulating right.
Have been setting and getting a e-commerce site set up today. More on that when it has product in it. Not mine btw.
Cat had another dentist appointment today so that took the afternoon.
Loaded in some wood for the night and been sitting and reading or on the computer since. Gonna be an early night too. Still feeling a lot less than fair.
And with that minimal recounting of the day I am gonna close for now. Till tomorrow…
Bookshelf
A blog after me own heart! Cool, neat and other dated words of approval… 😎 In case you are having trouble figuring out what it might be about, it’s about bookcases, mostly. 😉
Or however frustration expressed in a loud voice is expressed. 👿 Been trying to install and configure Ubercart for several hours now and am almost there I think. Still not sure what I did or didn’t do to begin with but must have been something or there was a glitch at one end or the other or somewhere in between.
Tried installing it just as I had on the test site. Created the database and user and input the information and after what appeared to be a good install told me that there was a problem that might be corrected by installing again. So I did. And got a page full of errors about weird stuff in the database. So deleted the database and recreated it. Ran the installer again and it seemed to work. Went to the site and it was there. Then started customizing and configuring it. Got an hour or so in and it sent me to a page that wasn’t there. 404 big time. OK, lets try again. Same thing. Went elsewhere and started configuring the cart it’s self. Got it about done and then noted no payment gateway. So went to the modules and there they were but not turned on. Turned the ones I needed on and submitted and got another 404. Did it again and again (trying different selections each time) and same thing. big BAD 404. 👿 So found a update script and ran it to get hit with errors out the wahzoo. Decided to try adding the modules in again and it worked. 😯 Have no idea how or why. But am gonna continue to continue, or keep on keeping on or try to go forward in some fashion anywho.
Coffee breaks over, time to return to the inverted position… 🙄
The previous 4 posts are direct copies from our Too Many Books site. I am taking it down and rebuilding it from the ground up using something other than WordPress. WordPress is good for many things but for e-commerce it ain’t there just yet, and I need something now. So am going with Drupal and Ubercart using their website installer. Hope to have the site back up and actually use it for something soon.

Just what it says. Unfortunately some of the buttons don’t work in either Firefox or Safari on my mac. Haven’t tried Firefox or Opera on the linux machine but they do work on Internet Exploder 5.x for the mac which would seem to mean that the site is Microsloth centric. Lotta good info on Creasey and his writings if you can get to it.
Published by Doubleday and Co. Copyright date is 1960.
Several men sat around a table in The Hague. Hand-picked and carefully screened by their respective governments, they were about to embark on war against international crime. These men were The Crime-Haters.
Patrick Dawlish, England’s representative, brought the Crime-Haters their first dangerous assignment: to find who had planted the bomb which exploded seconds before his plane left London. There were several questions to be answered — had Dawlish been the object of the attack? This was to be the first battle in their new war.
The opening move was clear — locate the woman whose tip-off phone call had saved so many lives but might have endangered her own.

Not a bad read though slow and somewhat stilted at times. Creasey seems to take on a totally different writing personality when writing as Gordon Ashe or any of his other aliases.
Just went to Google.com and looked up John Creasey. Discovered that he wrote under
27 different names and wrote over 600 books. The following list of names he wrote under is taken from http://www.johncreasey.co.uk/ and is as complete a listing as I have seen anywhere.

Now to dig through our collection and see how many of his books we actually have. I know that I have several of the JJ Marric Gideon books that will have to be refiled. Will be interesting to see just how many of the others we have…
Below the fold is a list, in chronological order, of the 66 mystery novels written by Agatha Christie. American titles are in parentheses. Titles of reprinted versions or titles with only small changes (such as changes in spelling) are not noted.

If you drink regular sodas you NEED to read this. Diet soda is another matter entirely and I ain’t even going there.
FWIW, I will still drink a little Dr. Pepper, 7-Up or Sprite from time to time but only if there isn’t any available water, coffee, tea, fruit juice, or milk. I’d guess that I have had 12 to 16 oz of the stuff so far this year and that was due to needing liquid quick and none of the above being close at hand. The colas and my gut just don’t get along at all.
